Recreate American Independence with an authentic Revolutionary War Marching Fife & Drum.
Every detail is perfect, right down to the rope and leather fasteners on the drum and the bone stays in the tricorn hat. You’ll think they stepped right out of the famous painting, “The Spirit of 76.” Musical selections include all the well known tunes of the era and many obscure pieces as well. Perfect for parades, ceremonies, and other traditional American celebrations. A favorite for kids events as well.
Our performers credits include: Walt Disney World’s Spirit of America in EPCOT, United States Military Academy Band’s legendary field music group, “The Hellcats ” from West Point, as well as the Magic Kingdom’s “Founders of Freedom.” They have also who recorded traditional patriotic music for ESPN and appeared on two DVD’s produced by the Percussive Arts Society.

What does a show look like?
- Atmosphere: some events require music to be performed while guests are entering/exiting a venue, while others find it advantageous to have us perform in the background (during a cocktail hour/fireworks/introduction of distinguished guests, etc…).
- Concert: we can perform traditional marches and folk songs that celebrate early America, leading right through the rich history of America’s 250 years of Independence. This can include marching in &/or out of the performance area.
- Interactive: this can be a performance where we talk about colonial times, tell the stories behind the music, and answer questions from the audience.
- Parade: nothing gets a parade started on the right foot better than a fife & drum corps dressed in red, white & blue colonial attire leading the way.

What Type of Events Are Fife and Drum Best For?
We have performed at flag raising events, holiday celebrations, picnics, salutes to our veterans, school assemblies, senior living facilities, country clubs, sorority reunions, summer camp color wars and more. We’ve even closed a couture fashion show! If you have an idea for a show but aren’t exactly sure where to go with it, throw your thoughts our way.
Besides the number of performers, what changes as the group size increases?
- Duo: This consists of 1 fifer and 1 snare drummer. From a historical perspective, when the Revolutionary War came to an end, the legend is that General George Washington kept two musicians stationed at West Point…a fifer & a drummer. The duo maintains that historical setting and is more cost effective when working with a limited budget.
- Quartet: This group consists of 2 fifers, 1 snare drummer & 1 bass drummer. This instrumentation has a fuller sound and with the addition of the bass drum carries the tradition of American on Parade. For 250 years, this has been the instrumentation that has marched through American history, and still lives today. It has a bigger sound than the duo, but many feel the addition of the bass makes it a worthwhile investment.
- Full Corps: As the fife & drum equivalent to a marching band, the full corps brings you the presence of a military marching unit. It can have as many performers as you’d like (5+), but the number of fifers and drummers in each section is left to the discretion of the band. Some relish in having the larger group at an event, but other see the beauty of the smaller ensembles as they are more budget friendly.
